Instructor Experience

Jeff Markley has been a dedicated user of spreadsheet software since 2007, starting with data entry for engineering models in Excel during college. This quickly evolved into utilizing complex formulas and Microsoft VBA to build sophisticated tax calculation sheets for a hospital beginning in 2008.

Throughout a career in accounting, Jeff heavily relied on Excel, developing custom data entry forms with VBA and automating numerous manual tasks using macros in both Excel and Google Sheets. Currently, Jeff leverages Google Sheets daily to analyze market data and transform it into code for trading platforms.
